Today, let's stop wasting our energy trying to please people who are not willing to make time for us. Instead, let's invest our time and energy into building relationships with people who prioritize us and make us feel valued. We often spend too much time trying to impress those who offer nothing in return. These are the people in our lives who only bring negativity and drama, ultimately stealing our joy and draining our energy.
These are the individuals who always seek your advice or help in solving the problems they created for themselves. They tend to dampen your spirits with their negativity when things are going well in your life. These are the ones who instill doubt in your mind, telling you why you shouldn't be happy about your success. They will attempt to make you feel guilty about your happiness. You are aware of who these people are in your life at present. They may be your so-called friends, family members, partners, children, or coworkers.
These are the individuals who tend to complain about everything but take no action to improve their lives and become happier. Think about those people in your life who always have an excuse for not returning the items they borrowed or repaying the money they owe you. They are the ones who borrow things from you but never return or return them damaged and then refuse to take responsibility for it. Or my personal favorite, "Are you sure you didn't give it to me that way?"
These are the people who attend your events without bringing anything but leave with bowls of food and anything else they can get their hands on. They are the ones who always seem to lack money when you go out to eat, yet they order the most expensive dishes. They will drink all of your alcohol and start behaving irresponsibly. You're always apologizing to others because of their behavior. These are also the same people who get mad at you when you finally say no to them, and they start talking behind your back or spreading your private information around.
These people will never change. It's time to do some serious soul-cleaning. It's time to start removing these leeches from your life. They're bloodsuckers and they won't change. Don't get me wrong, some people do want to change, and they do what they need to do to become better people or better friends, family members, and lovers. Then some won't change and doesn't see a problem with the way they are. Those are the ones you need to remove from your life. You can't help anyone who doesn't want to help themselves, and that's a fact.
Today, I advise you to take inventory of your life. Look at the people around you and assess who adds value to your life. Start building relationships with those who share similar goals and are willing to work hard to achieve them. Remember, everyone wants to be your friend when you're successful, but it's those who stick by you during tough times and help you get back on your feet that truly matter. Stay safe out there, because evil exists."
