Staxks Entertainment is a black owned, culturally, diverse business that exudes excellence and creativity against all odds to help build bridges for independent artist.
Staxks Entertainment was originally designed with the hopes being a label, so that I could give my son. the opportunity to build his own table, rather than asking for a seat at someone else's. However, in creating the label we realized that we could use our platform for more than just music if we removed the word label. Now we're a business that can focus on highlighting issues around economic inequities concerning the lack of creative spaces that affect all independent artist.
That is why our tagline is, "It's more than music. It's a movement.
As Staxks Entertainment grows we want to be able to offer various opportunities to independent artists, and actors, as well as provide employment to anyone who want's to work in the entertainment business.
Our plan for the future is to offer recording, publishing, licensing and distribution deals, as well as step into the casting industry. We plan to provide the necessary tools and resources for artists and actors to be able to negotiate contracts for themselves, and give them access to legal expertise.
Everyone who works with Staxks Entertainment will be treated with the utmost respect and humility.
Independent artists and background actors are some of the hardest working creatives in the world and I know this because I'm a published author with a very active and creative mind. I struggled in the beginning to get anyone to read my novel so I know first hand what it's like to constantly be rejected but never giving up on yourself or your dreams.
That is why Staxks Entertainment will always work just as hard to make sure that we all thrive and succeed to the best of our abilities.
